We should have known this was going to be a nightmare before we even moved in since we waited 2 mo for the apt we wanted to be available at a reasonable price when it actually had been the entire time but was not listed on their "sophisticated" system. Anyway, the run down is that it wasn't too horrific the first few months. They are very nice inside and well maintained. They repainted EVERYTHING in the apt so everything sticks (all doors and the bathroom drawers). The master bath is just not big enough but no big deal. Then came the problems. We live directly across from a spa. A spa that hosts couples having sex in broad daylight as well as at night, loud sort of parties till about 11p even though the door should be locked at 10p, what looks to be drug deals in the bathroom (something super shady is going on in there) and kids have put soap in the spa twice in the past few months. I called when I saw them so they could stop them and was told someone would be there immediately. Of course an hour later they were a no show. Why should I help if they do nothing.

Then the bigger problems. Someone stole my husbands $1000 bike. Someone put food on my car hood in the hot hot sun two days in a row (spaghetti with sauce the first time and some sort of pastry the second time). I have a brand new baby and we walk a lot. People drive like maniacs and we nearly lose our lives. I drive slow over the many speed bumps bc I have a newborn and I get honked at and passed by and flipped off.

Manager --------------- is an utter WITCH. She has no people skills at all and is convinced we are all trying to pull a fast one on her. The old manager was much more effective and efficient. She comes across as a raging bull but then leaves notes on your door to put the broom away rather than just hand it to you as she walked by you.

We can hear the people upstairs sneeze, cough and talk. All our neighbors scream rather than talk to I don't know if we had normal volume people if we would be able to hear next door or not.

Maintenance guys are super nice but not effective. We had to flick the switch for the fireplace like 5-10 times for it to ignite and were told that was normal. When we moved in, the master bath door didn't fit by a few inches and had no lock. When he resized it, he neglected to file it and I cut myself every single time I hit the edge of the door.

God forbid you leave a water bottle on your patio... you will get a note. These people, mostly ---------------, micromanage your entire life living here.... it SUCKS !!!!!!!!!!! We broke our lease and are very very happy at the Monarch !!

I agree the Knolls is horribly run. The Manager is a total phony. And the assist manager is even worse. I am so glad I got the hell out of there.
