Pavilion Sucks! BIG TIME!

I had the disfortune of living at the Pavilion (on the Pavilion side, not the biltmore side) for about a year and a half . The place is old, and run down. The staff is extremely incompetent. My unit was next to the pool which would have been nice except the spa was broken down and half the time the jets didn't work. The neighborhood children would hop the fence and swim in the pool all the time. I witnessed many "make out" sessions at the spa which got extremely anoying over time. Nothing like watching TV with the door open and hearing somebody moan and grown. Get a ROOM!
The laundry situation sucks ASS! The laundry facilities are not run by a company (they are maintained by pavilion maintaince people) 90% of the time, the washers and dryers were broken leaving 100+ units to fight over 1 or 2 washers and dryers. I either had to fix my own washer before using it, or go to the laundry mat. During my stay there, the owner of the Biltmore side (each side is owned by one person, I presume that they were once business partners who are now bitter enemies) started to contract his side of the laundry facilites to a laundry company. After this, the laundry was good on the Biltmore side only. I had to sneak over there to use them.
I had to call the cops several times on a team of "students" that would hang around the place and harrass the tenents into buying "subscriptions" to magazines. I think they were casing the joint for a robery.
I finally left after the manager decided to RECTROACTIVELY increase my rent. After showing all supporting documents proving my case, the manager finally dropped this and agreed to the rent increase as stated in the original letter.
If all this wasn't enough, the last straw was when the ceiling over the bathroom shower came crashing down because of the idiot upstarts let his bathtub overflow.
One thing in defense of pavilion (if you can call it that) My unit was 850 sqft for a one bedroom, and the apartment had all new stove, refridgerator and microwave. I also had DSL there which was cool! The cable tv is actually a satelite on the Biltmore side that is piped to the complex. It's pretty cheep and works well.
Overall, I would avoid this place like the plague.

Funny how this review mentions the Biltmore next door hmmmmm........ Pretty childish and lame for the Biltmore to bash their competitors.
