I do not recomend living here, too expensive! they make you pay water garbage and sewer...not a safe place to live! we got robbed twice and the managers did nothing, we had an eye witness, pictures of the robbers and everything and we went to the mamagers office to have them tell the other residents about this problem...and intead they told us they were not going to tell anyone because they didnt want to loose money if people moved out!!! it acctually turned out that 1/3 of the whole appt complex was robbed but were not allowed to tell anyone else because they would be EVICTED! Another bad thing! cars race through there all the time, my cat got run over and killed because of this young guy speeding through the parkinglot!! (what if that was a child!) again managment didnt care! they just told the maintence guy to go CLEAN UP THE MESS IN THE PARKING LOT! neighbors were horrible, this one couple kitty napped our baby kittens right infront of us...we never saw them again. it is convienient because its across the street from wal-mart but thats about all thats great about that place. too much crime and every woman in the appt complex will tell you, they all get infections from the hot-tub, since its never been drained out and cleaned! On the Outside its a beautiful place but its an aweful place to live... not safe and to expensive!!!!! Not to mention the manager "Leon" is a Jerk

I do have to agree with this.. My family lived there about 4 years ago and we had lived there before and it was ok, something nice to live in and then we moved back there about 6 months later, because of the cheap deposit and no bad experiences.. well let me tell you the next time we moved in, we lived upstairs.. and a couple problems, they were jerks about satellite dishes and threatened to kick us out.. so we had to get cable, and then my car was keyed and nothing was done and then someone tried to steal my 2001 yamaha motorcycle.... they actually broke the whole stering column and left their helmet on it and nothing.....no sincerity at all, just like an oh well.. then we were gone in the nicu with my baby and come back home and they had entered our property without our permission and redid some door, but no permission to enter and when confronted soon after was giving a 30 day notice, blamed it on our neighbors below...but know it was because they could have gooten in big trouble for coming inside our place.. even though the neighbors below were rude and called the cops over my kids running around upstairs......I would never recommend that place to anyone at all. its not safe and they dont give a rats ass about you and your belongings

I Have to STRONGLY disagree with both these statements! I am shocked that someone could have the experiences as stated in the reviews. I have never been happier with Oak Park. They are AWESOME! I feel like a friend when i walk into the office. They are great with my kids. I was late to pick them up at the bus stop so my kids were wondering around the apartments and one of the office girls had walked my two kids into the office and had them sit there (after calling me to notify me my kids were in the office) and wait for me so they were in a safe place. When i came to pick my kids up they were sittin there with water and cookies just as happy as can be. Normally my kids would have freaked out. They did this for me even though this is Not in thier job description. Not only are they good with my kids but they keep the property in beautiful condition and handle any situation with the upmost respect.The management is caring and curteous. Contrary to the reviews stated above I understand that not everyone may have the same experience as i have been fortunate enough to have but I cant believe anyone can have anything bad to say about an apartment community that I find to be EXTRAORDINARY!! See for yourself and i have every bit of confidence in Oak Park that you too will have a pleasant experience living here. Whats not to like they are located by tons of shopping which makes my life a whole lot easier! I LOVE It!
