I have lived in the Verandas since March 2000. The staff in the office have all been very helpful and considerate. Also, living in Union City has been extremely convenient for my travels to and from my job in the Silicon Valley; but throughout the years, the community has changed and I list personal safety concerns as one of my reasons for moving away. The other reason and most important one to me is that there are smokers who live below me; and lately, their smoke continually comes into my apartment, getting into my clothes, my furniture, and when I m home, me. This is making continuing to live there simply unbearable; and since, there have been no first floor apartments available, I ve opted to close the door and move on.
