Management dishonesty

As a resident of the Common's Apartments, I have become increasingly aware of our Manager, and her two faced approach to all aspects of management here. She will say one thing and then do something totally opposite. Her management of her Maintenance is disgusting. A few months back we had a great Maintenance person and for some unknown reason he is no longer here. The Management and Maintenance is sub-standard, and at the prices we are charged for these dumps and to be talked down to by the Manager is deplorable. As soon as our lease is up we will kiss this over priced, under managed place a big GOODBYE! What ever her pay is it is way too much. The best thing that could happen is for her to be replaced by someone who actually knows the renter's laws and how to deal with tenants.

Well, I see that nothing has changed since I decided to not renew my lease and to move to the Bay Area. If the owners of this complex knew how many people decide to leave the Commons because of the Manager, perhaps they would remove her instead. Spread the word people, if you get in there, you can't get out until the lease ends, or you can afford to buy your way out.

What issue do you have completing your signed lease agreement? If you contract into any legal binding lease, you are required to complete the agreed upon terms. If you have questions understanding any written lease, it is the lessee responsiblity to either ask questions or have someone with them that is understanding of what signing a legal agreement constitutes. Your compliants really are based on your own ignorance for not fully understanding how a contract works in the state in which you live.

This is a response to the "anonymous" review by the apt manger, Janine, on 1/28/09. If people have questions understanding the lease agreement they should not ask anyone who works for the Commons to assist them because you will be told one thing and held to another. All associates will lie to your face to get a lease and then when its time to move out you will be paying fee's up the ying yang. As you are being taken for hundreds of dollars you will be told that it doesn't matter what the Commons employees tell you if it isn't written in your lease. This is a terrible company from the District manger down to the leasing staff. If you are going to rent here you better have deep pockets or bring a lawyer to the lease signing since we are all so "ignorant" and don't know how to read a legal contract.

Janine is a shady character and acts like she is above the residents here at the commons. Not sure why she is so arrogant and rude. Maybe she thinks she's a big shot because she thinks she holds a prestigious position (yeah right!). Don't let her fool you she's no better than you or I. She just needs her boss to keep her attitude in check!

Oh my goodness, what a relief it is to know that I'm not the only one who was screwed over by the Commons and Janine. What is her deal? Who is her boss? If I was her, I would hate myself.
