Woodside village is charging me almost 2000 dollars for repairs on an apartment that they needed to fix. After two 1/2 years of being there they are charging me for paint, carpet,door, and refrigerator repairs that needed to be done before I even moved in. The California renter rights specifically say they can not do this.Be carefull Joanna the manager there is rude and decietfull.

I had to go into my move out procedure both claws bared and I still got dinged for some of my security. I would love to see a statistic on how many tenants get their deposits back in full. I could have pursued it but I don't blame Joanna, I blame Essex for fleecing the tenants at move out time. Channel Island Carpet I believe are complicit in this scheme. Joanna is more like you and me. She is not one of the owners. She has to do their bidding and she does it well. I would love to have someone like her on my side. Essex are a bunch of crooks and if someone started sniffing around at Channel Island Carpet and Essex they might find the real deceit. I myself need to get back to work. Due diligence. Document and get specific move out protocol in writing! Rent from independent landlords.
