I moved here several months ago. At first I thought, hey for the price you cant beat it. I now seek to move.
PARKING IS A HERENDOUS MESS. MANAGEMENT REFUSES TO PAINT STALL NUMBERS ON EACH SPACE...SO ALTHOUGH YOU MUST HAVE A PERMIT TO PARK WITHIN, EVERY ONE IS FREE TO PARK. YOU HAVE THUGS WHOM DISTURB THE PEACE, BY THUMPING THEIR CAR STEREOS...SHOWING NO COURTESY FOR OTHER TENANTS. MAINTENANCE IS LOUSY DESPITE HAVING HIRED NEW EMPLOYEES. THE LAUNDRY ROOM SUCKS. THE DRIERS BARELY DRY CLOTHES, AND THE WASHERS ONLY TAKE HALF A LOAD. YOULL FIND THAT FOR LARGE LOADS, YOURE BETTER OFF GOING TO THE LOCAL LAUNDRO-MAT-ITS LESS EXPENSE. SECURITY,,,WHAT SECURITY. IVE ALREADY GOT INTO A VERBAL CONFRONTATION WITH ANOTHER TENANT OVER A PARKING SPACE. SECURITY IS NEVER AROUND. THEY COME AND GO, FOR THIS PROPERTY IS THE ONLY ONE THEY PATROL OUT HERE IN VICTORVILLE. SO WHEN THEY COME THROUGH, THEIR DONE. IF YOURE A SOCIAL TENANT WHOM LIKES TO ACQUAINT WITH OTHERS, FORGET IT. HERE NO ONE TALKS TO NO ONE. VERY DEAD ENVIRONMENT. MANAGEMENT SUUUUUUUUUCKS!!! THE MAIN MANAGER IS AN ELDERLY WOMAN WHOM NEEDS TO RETIRE. SHE HAS NO INTEREST OF ENFORCING RULES AND POLICY UNLESS THE VIOLATION IS DETTREMENTAL TO THE IMAGE OF HER OFFICE. MANAGEMENT LIKE A COUPLE OF OTHERS HERE HAVE MENTIONED, ARE LOUSY AT ATTENDING TO TENANT NEEDS. KIDS LOITER THIS COMPLEX, AND DISTURB THE PEACE FROM DUSK TO DAWN. THEFT HERE IS MINIMAL BUT DOES OCCUR...SO DONT LEAVE VALUABLE PROPERTY OUT SIDE FOR OTHERS TO SEE.
YOULL FIND YOURE SANITY WILL DISIPITATE IF YOURE NOT MENTALLY DISCIPLINED TO HANDLE THE DESERT. GOOD LUCK IN YOURE SEARCH.

I park my car in the free garage that was given to me. As I understand the unassigned parking is for a second vehicle but I never have an issue because I use my garage which also makes me feel more secure. I even store some of my personal belongings in there. Looks like you probably should have thought out things a little better.

I have no idea as to what youre referring to. Garages yes are available. However, I have a full size vehicle which does not fit in those small huts. Garages are not excuses for lousy parking. Management has an obligation to the residents to improve spaces by spacing them properly, painting in dividers, and enforcing parking rules...which means towing away cars that are not permitted to park in our spaces, and or vehicles that double park. Also painting unit numbers w/in each space would insure each tenant has a space of their own. As for theft. My patio is part of my residence. Thereby, taking things from my patio is theft. Garages have been broken into in the past simply by drilling the lock with a drill. What there needs to be is surveilance cameras and better lighting, PERIOD. I dont need to plan anything. Its called respect and courtesy for other tenants. The theft that occurred against me was committed by the construction crew.
