What Everyone Needs To Know

My husband and I rented a one bedroom appartment a couple years ago, at the time the rent was $750 a little steep for a one bedroom but, it was close to the freeway and centally located which was appealing. Surprisingly the rent was the least of our problems there. Within the first month upon moving in our vehicle was broken into, and within that first year our vehicle had been broken into a total of 3 times!! Along with the unsafe location we also faced a more serious problem. In the month of July when high desert temperatures are reaching thier peek our AC Unit unexpectedely failed on us. We called the front office for help several times in hopes we could get maintainence to come out and take a look at it, but everytime we called the lady at the front desk would tell us "they'll be out today" and everyday we'd have to call to find out when they were really coming out'' This went on for almost 14 days! Finally a maintainence man came out and he couldn't figure out why our AC Unit was blowing out hot air. Basically everytime maintanence would come out they wouldn't know exactly what was wrong so it was not getting properly taken care of, and what was really frustrating was everytime someone would come out to try to fix it and could not do so, we were left to continuously call the front desk for help day after day after day. The appartment reached a record breaking temperature of 97 degrees! Yet still this was not considered an emergency. It got so bad that my husband and I would have to leave the appartment at night just to sleep, and still at these unlivable conditions the property manager requested that full rent was paid, yet knowone took these conditions seriously at all. Finally after a month and a half of no Air conditioning my husband and I had to move out, the day we moved the AC unit was still un-repaired (A MONTH AND A HALF LATER!!) I have never experienced negligence quite to this degree in my life and to this day. Every time we called for help they treated my husband and I as though this was not a serious matter. Although we have moved away and it is now behind us I feel the need to share this story with everyone who may consider renting at this facility. It may seem quaint and conveniently located but when it comes to the health and safety of the tenants this is not the place to rent. It has truly opened our eyes we just hope our story will help someone out so they never go through the terror we went through.

The community is under new management and I would live at Summer Ridge before living anywhere else in the high desert. First, Summer Ridge has great floorplans and Secondly, it is a quiet community...I believe the last reviewer seems somewhat over-the-top...It is unfortunate that complaints are screamed so much louder than actual praise...I enjoy living at SummerRidge, I orginally lived there from 2002 to 2005 then, moved back in 2008 because I knew what to expect. Great Place to live!
