I've been renting for a year with Bella Terra. Great grounds on the property - fitness center and pools are nice.

Rental office is a pain to deal with. They are very inflexible and don't care much for you as an occupant of their apartment complex. Sure, they'll prorate you to come in early for a high charge - but if you want to get out a little early - don't even think of asking. They informed me that they don't even consider it - sorry.

Well, sorry but I will never recommend your place to anyone. Its on a terrible location off the 78 freeway. The office has never done much for us while staying their over a year, and we were good tennents. They just care about the money and not about the people who live there. We all understand policies, but its how they work within the grey area that best describes the type of class that an establishment offers.

Fair Housing refers to "Unlawful to discriminate against or harass any person in regard to housing because of the race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, ancestry, familial status, source of income, or disability of that person"

Breaking a lease has nothing to do with Fair Housing. Fair Housing is about how you treat the seven protected classes. You must be consistent in your treatment. Every lease can be terminated it just depends on the termination clause. Usually it is a buy out clause where you give a 30 day written notice plus a termination fee (can equal 1 or 2 months rent) or you can pay rent until they rent again. By CA law you can not collect double rent on one place. It is a chance, but I have seen it work being that I am a property manager with PPV military housing.
