It used to be nice...

I lived there for over 2 years. It was a great community in the beginning. Everyone was friendly, clean, and considerate. Parties happened, yes, but nothing out of control and noise was never beyond reasonable hours and almost always on weekends. There was an overhaul in the renting office and things went very very bad after that. Children (as young as wobbly and still in diapers) run unattended throughout the complex parking lots, toys and trash left anywhere and everywhere (I have a collection from my patio of discarded balls, cars, misc parts, you name it). When I contacted the office they told me it's part of living in an apartment. Deal. My call was to alert them and express concern for the kids' safety. Then the parties and fights moved in... LOUD parties happen at all hours, all days. Security patrol either misses them, drives by, or joins them. Fights both physical and verbal are a nightly occurence. Driving through the parking lot at night is a study in domestic squabbles. Some of this is apartment living but to be woken up at 3 a.m. to unbelievable profanity being yelled from one apartment to the other and then hear the slamming doors and the rumble begin is too much for me. The maintenance staff has been reduced to barely there. An urgent leak took 2 weeks to get someone out and another 2 months to get the subsequent giant hole patched. Parking is a nightmare with frequent break-ins and vandalism. Again, the answer is we're sorry this happened to you, try calling Security. If you own an aggressive breed and have a problem finding somewhere to live, this is the place for you. Thankfully, most dogs are leashed but that doesn't stop the lunging, thrashing, foaming barking. I regularly drove by balconies with dogs throwing themselves against the railing as I DROVE by, God help the pedestrians! The rates are fair for the size but when the environment is akin to the ghetto, save yourself money and move there.

We agree! The only good thing this complex has done is MADE look into purchasing a home so that we NEVER have to live in an apartment again. It is HELL here. HORRIBLE!!! Definitley on it's way to the ghetto. I heard a fight last night too. I wonder if we live near eachother. The least the office could do would be to send out a curtousy letter reminding people of the noise regulations.

If you live in the 365 area (the more expensive area) I think less of this happens. I live in 365 area and have never heard a fight, never seen a mean dog, never had or heard of anyone's car getting broken into. I don't see kids running around without adults...everyone up here is nice...the new parking situation does suck though.

I agree with all of the above... The kids running freely in the streets... The domestic fights right outside my door at all hours of the night... Park also of course. I posted an entire thing about it just now. Very frustrating. My friends and relatives have been towed numerous times. I can't even begin to explain the frustration!!
