When I first learned that I had to live in an apartment until my husband and I found a house, I was a little upset because I think of apartments as being dirty, small, and full of people that do not care about others. I do not think any of these bad qualities even agree with Waterleaf. I think that it is a rather nice apartment complex.

Waterleaf is a HUGE complex, and a course with that many people living in one complex, you are going to have some people that are just unhappy and do not like the place. I feel as though most of the reviews on this thing relate to the individuals personality more than the apartments.

Waterleaf has the biggest one bedroom apartments I have ever seen, and I do not think that the price is bad at all. I used to live in Orange County, and for the amount that I pay to live in this complex would not even get me in the broom closet under the stairs in the OC.

It is a friendly neighborhood, it might not be in the best area, but the place is probably more than 50% lived in by Marines, which definitely makes me feel safer. They also allow you to have an animal which is great because there are so few places that do. All the experiences I have had with Maintenance have been great. Maintenance came and helped me immediately when my key got stuck in the door and they were very helpful and the process took all in all about 5 minutes.

I also think that there is plenty of parking! All over the streets and if anyone wants to complain about parking, buy your own damn house with a two car garage and then maybe you??ll be happy.

I think this apartment complex has a lot to offer to young people such as myself looking for a decent place to live. The grass is always cut, the flowers look amazing, the pool is clean, so I don??t know what else these people want??I think a lot of people are just unhappy and big babies that like to complain??

First of all, you cannot compare the price of one bedrooms here in Vista compared to Orange County. The cost of living is just not the same. If your going to compare it to something, compare it to something local. If you want to compare a one bedroom at the Waterleaf to something then I should compare it to Camp Lejeune. I rented a 2 bed/1bath HOUSE in Jacksonville, NC for $475 a month, w/a fireplace skylights and you a yard! Not everyone can afford to buy a house here. If you want to rebuttle that w/saying that those people chose to live here, you are wrong. Not everyone chose to live in SoCal. You said yourself that 50% of the tenants are Marines, well, as a Marine you do not get to choose where you live unless you were one of the lucky ones and on your first re-enlistment who got your choice of duty station. As far as the civilians, not all chose to live in SoCal. Some lived here, grew up here, or were brought here by their families. It does cost to move believe it or not. You might want to use some logic next time you compare and contrast and make a post.
