I have been living here for a little more than 7 months now and I am pretty happy with my place. Bay landing isnt exactly a new apartment complex and each unit does have minor problems. For instance, a couple of my drawers and window screens are crooked but I can live with that. I mentioned it to the management and they offered to fix the problem immediately but I didn't really care. The neighborhood is very nice although neighbors seem a little "bay area-ish" I always like to say hello to people but people in my unit seem to be a little non-social.

The A/C and fireplace are awesome. I live on the third floor so I don't have any noise problems except sometimes passing by vehicles blasting their radio but thats inevitable. Once you shut your doors/windows it is VERY quiet. My unit is far away from BART track so I can rarely hear the noise and I think I am used to it. My neighbors are very considerate and they are dead silent after midnight. The only noise I hear is the water running sometimes.

There are a lot of parking spaces for guests so it is very convenient. There are many amenities like gym, steamroom, pool, and spa. They are usable but not in the best shape. Most units come with a garage parking space so it is very good for your car.

Overall, the place is decent but I am still thinking about whether I should stay or move out. The rent for a one bedroom is above average in walnut creek. The only concern that I have is the building safety. I am a civil and environmental engineer and I have notice vaiours cracks around the property and the building seem to be settling. I noticed that my unit is sinking a little bit to one side so my entertainment system is leaning towards one side of the building. The building should be structurally safe but I am not sure whether it will withstand a powerful earthquake. California safety standards are pretty strictly enforced but I am still a little worried. If I decide to stay I definitely will contact the management and investigate the safety.

I hope this review helps you to decide whether you would like to live here.
