Not worth the money

Sure, the building was freshly painted and might give a good first impression, but it was built all the way back in 1975 and the walls/ceilings are razor thin. 3 different tenants in apartment above mine and I could always tell when each tenant was walking around. There is absolutely no reasonable justification for > $1800 for 1 bedroom rent, when your privacy is defined by your nehigbor's schedule and despite the new management's claim about safety, my car has been broken into twice in the past year and I am not alone in that regards many former tenants voiced similar security concerns. Plus, you have to tolerate the barking dogs at night...
The worst part is that Archstone management is virtually evicting current tenants under old leases by raising rent exceeding of 50% and hoping to lure in new suckers...so much for "we appreciate your residency".
Archstone is just another money gouging business machine that cares less of establishing communities. Run the other way, it is not worth your hard earned money
