I moved here in August and this is the best apartment I have ever lived in. The management is always friendly and very quick to act on complaints. The property is pristine and the units are very comfortable. The complex is within 3 minutes walk to the BART, making it a very convenient place to live. I have read all of the previous remarks on this place and can tell you that after living in apartments in L.A., New York, Texas, North Carolina and many other places in this country, they are just spoiled Walnut Creek people who clearly don't understand what living in an apartment is like. The last remark talks about how angry they were that the management pursued legal action because they refused to pay their apartment damages. Are you kidding me' If you don't agree with them, you pay the cost and then go through arbitration to reimburse the payment. You cannot simply refuse to pay a bill!
Everyone who complained about parking should try living in the city! Or even another complex in Walnut Creek! I have two cars and haven't once had a problem parking them both within a 2 minute walk from my apartment, in a visitor space on the property.
Anyone complaining about this place clearly just moved out of mommy and daddy's house and doesn't understand what living in an apartment is about.

You are a liar or an Archstone employee. Aside from the distance to BART nothing you have posted here is factual or helpful.

the property is not pristine. the pool was shut down by the county for not being to code and the hottub was out of order the entire time i lived there. i also now live in san francisco and park my car in the streets everynight, and archstone was sooo much worse. and i didnt just move out of mommy and daddy's, i just made a mistake. you are a fool...

If this is the best place you have lived in, then you must have lived someplace pretty bad. Property is not pristine. And let me tell you that spoiled Walnut Creek people would NEVER NEVER EVER even think about a place like Archstone Walnut Creek. There are much better choices around here.

Could someone please post some of the "much better choices" in Walnut Creek? I'm desperately looking for an apartment in Walnut Creek and am not having much luck. I'd love to have some suggestions for good places to live, preferably within walking distance (1 mile) of the downtown/broadway area.

Obviously you represent Archstone in some fashion. We broke our lease and got the hell out. At least 3 to 4 times a week someone was in my stall, and management said they had to wait at least an hour to call a tow truck... so i called a friend who owned a tow truck a moved the damn cars myself! I pay for that space. How dare management tell me they won't do anything for an hour! ---- Them! There is alot of trash there, especially the management... I think they invite family and friends to move in. Credit check? Yeah, right. Try 10 people squatting in one apartment. Not cool.

Now I finally know what the Archstone staff does instead of working and handling tenant complaints and dealing with parking issues...they post YES ratings on here! In regards to being spoiled: If spoiled means wanting steps to be fixed so no one falls from the top floor to the pavement below or wanting a parking space that would fit more than a bicycle or having plumbing that doesn't leak or an apartment that doesn't have stains on the rug or smell like a cigarrette factory...then call me Paris Hilton!
