I lived there for less than 6 months (my contract was 1 year). I had to move to Archstone Mountain view because I work in south bay area and it ain't fun to commute back and forth.
Pros:
- Safe to walk around at night.
- Hardwood floor.
- I can move to any Archstone apartments at any time without breaking the contract (this one saved me, BTW at least give them like 20 days notice).
Cons:
- Small square footage for the price.
- My apartment was right on the treat blvd and traffic noise was a big problem whenever I opened the window to get some air during summer nights.
- Parking was a real nightmare, it's very small. Guest parking was unavailable most of the time and street parking was unavailable after 6 pm.

Parking is VERY bad! It is a daily hassle getting in and out of your spot. If you don't have a car then the convenience is being close to BART. The apartments are very small for the price you are charged and the price only keeps increasing. I know that you can move to other Archstones, but when I looked into it, a lot of them were more expensive and I just didn't see the point in moving to yet another Archstone property when I was having so much trouble with them in the first place.
