I'm not sure I can do justice to this place and adequately express my feelings about it in this review, but I'll try.
I'll start with the pros - it is not that expensive for an apartment in the vicinity of San Francisco that is also walking distance to the BART, that is, if you opt for an eleven or twelve month lease. If you opt for a shorter lease, your monthly rent will be higher and then this place is essentially a rip-off.
Now for the cons - the staff is very incompetent and does not behave professionally. They seem to be oblivious to the fact that the residents are actually their customers, and that making the residents unhappy will most likely result in them opting not to renew their leases, and not recommending the place to their friends. Specifically, it seems that the more employees who become involved in your problem, the more trouble and confusion will ensue. Each person will have a different answer for you, and will do her best to keep whatever communication you had with her a secret. Apparently, they do not believe in noting any problems or conversations you have with them in your file. In addition, if they make a mistake, they do their best to blame it on you and then hassle you about it every day. The leasing office made an error on our lease document at move-in, realized it a week later, and then proceeded to harrass us about it continually, never apologizing for the fact that it was their error. They would call every day and leave notices on the door, and they have no qualms about calling you on a Saturday or Sunday morning, because it is a work day for them.
In addition, there were several very noticeable maintenance-related problems when we moved in, such as barely being able to get the front door open because it was hanging so crookedly on its hinges. The workmanship in the apartments is shoddy; things look nice at first but are actually very poor quality.
There are not enough laundry rooms/machines for the amount of people who live at this complex. The parking spaces seemed to be assigned with no rhyme or reason, and do not seem to take into account where in the complex your actual apartment is located.
I do not recommend moving here!

I would have to agree on the poor quality of the door frames. I have lived here for almost 8 months and already everyone of our doors have fallen off the hinge... And the bathroom door doesn't even close right! You have to pull the door up, jiggle the handle, and then just maybe it'll all line up.
