Nice the first time, ugly the next time

4 Years and 3 Moves within the community, guess that speaks for itself.
You get a decent price when you sign a lease for the first time, but when the dreaded renewal comes in, you are definitely in for a big shock. Apparently the Associates say that as the apartment becomes old, its rent increases...what'''
My rent has increased by $80-$100 at every renewal. I mean c'mon when the economy is in a downturn, these guys increased my rent by $150 which forced me to move to another unit, coz remember the first time is the best time.
And once you move they will advertise your old apartment for a much lesser price on their website. And mind you, you cannot question that, coz they say every unit is DIFFERENT. They turn into money-sucking machines once you are in. I am stuck here due to the proximity to BART and also because all 3 apartments close by are owned by them thereby exercising their MONOPOLY.
