One month into it, we (my bf and I) thought this place was a good choice for our first apartment together. We had our own washer/dryer, new floor, new countertops and new cabinets. Not only that, the staff was nice.
Then it got ugly.
After two months, our heater stopped working. We had someone fix it, then it was fine.
But then our washer broke. They fixed that and then it was working perfect.
Then ALL THE DRAINS got clogged from the tenants on the 2nd and 3rd floor, and because we lived on the 1st floor, raw sewage started spewing out of our bathtub and toilet! We called someone to fix it and in the process, they broke the drain plug to the bathtub and they ruined the toilet.
Then we noticed that we could hear EVERYTHING that was going on in the upstairs apartment: music, walking, running, talking, etc...
Then we realized that parking was a MAJOR PROBLEM. Sure you get a designated spot...but that's only for ONE person. My bf and I both have cars and it's like whoever gets home first, that person will find a visitor spot to park in so that the other person can use the designated spot. But seriously, no matter what time of day it is...there is just no parking! All the visitor spots are taken from all sides of Archstone. And if you try to park in someone's spot, THEY'LL SERIOUSLY TOW YOU!
So anyways...
RECENTLY.....
our car got broken into. Some ghetto hoodrats stole some valuables and left some evidence behind. We have yet to hear from the cops. We told Archstone about it and all they said was: "Well, you're not supposed to leave valuables in the car." Well no s*** Sherlock! I hope to god their cars get broken into..seriously.
Then we caught a PEEPING TOM looking into our window. We told Archstone about that and all they said was: "We'll bump up security." Wow, like those lazy mofos are really going to patrol all night long like they're supposed to.
Our internet connection gives us problems all the time...the splitters outside are always getting messed with.
We realized that the fitness center is a joke. There's only one treadmill so if there's someone on it, you have to wait til they're done. Oh yeah and I just read on here that there's no TV in there anymore....someone stole it!
The pool...when are they gonna clean the damn pools'!!'
Argh...
This place is a total disappointment to me. Very misleading.

Sorry for your issues. Archstone places SUCK. I did a search on cocosheriff.org and there are four sex offenders in the Archstone area. One lives at Archstone itself. Two live at Ironside Park Apts (down the street on Coggins) and the other lives at 255 Coggins. It wouldn't surprise me if your peeping tom is a formerly convicted sex offender. Watch your back. What I don't understand is that Archstone charges an app fee and supposedly they do a background check. WTF? How does a sex offender get in?

Yeah I wouldn't doubt it if he was a convicted sex offender. Thanks for the heads up! But yeah seriously, they're supposed to do a background check right? What's up with that?

I know - I wish those dumps on Coggins would quit renting to SEX OFFENDERS. Problem is they are so desperate to fill vacancies, they'd probably rent to terrorists just to fill up the place.
