People always say "wow, you live in Walnut Creek, must be great." It's not. I live in this dump. The apartment itself is not bad at all. It's the complex. There are a thousand young children who play from early morning till late at night. You cannot go a minute without at least one kid literally screaming at the top of her lungs for the sake of screaming. I have yet to lose this bet: from when we get out of my car to the door of my aparment, about 100 feet, at least one kid will either scream at the top of her lungs are start crying as loud as possible. I had amazingly noisy neighbors on one side (who finally moved out) and the neighbors in the complex itself are obilvious to the fact that there are other people in the world. Loud music (screaming kids of course, which the parents think are cute), loud people, etc are normal. The kids throw rocks all over and freely destroy the place when and where they can. The place is literally falling apart. There are patched up holes in the floor all outside my apartment and the porch area is a disaster. The kids walk by and pull off pieces of wood off the "fence" surrounding my porch. It looks condemned. It takes a long time for managemetn to respond to any complaints or needs (when they do, they take care of it; it just takes a while). Parking is fine for the resident, but forget having guests, there is literally NO parking. None.
