Although we have never lived in The Montecito, my husband and I have had two bad experiences with the property's management. The first time I called the property to inquire about how much the rent was the leasing agent was clearly annoyed that I had called. In fact,when I asked what three different sized apartments cost per month she asked me (in a condescending tone) if I was calling from a market research company....since when is it a crime to ask what the rental rates are at a leasing office'!

We decided to give them another try and called on a Saturday morning to see if we could come for a tour of a two-bedroom apartment. I was told that they do not give tours on the weekends, only weekdays until 5:15pm in the evening. When I told the woman I was speaking with that I thought that was inconvenient she had no response. Upon inquiring whether or not we could take a tour of the aparment ourselves the response was no. When I told her that we are very interested in the apartments but could not leave work to see the apartments her response was basically (i'm paraphrasing here) "if you are very interested in the apartments, I would think that you could make the time time to come for a tour on a weekday."

If this is how they treat PROSPECTIVE renters, imagine how they treat you once you actually rent at The Montecito!
