DO NOT LIVE HERE.

It is embarrassing to have people come over to the house. The grounds are dirty and covered with cobwebs, the carpet by the mail is wet and covered in mold, mustard is several months old on the staircase, missing and chipped paint is everywhere, the parking lot is disgusting and trash ridden, and the garbage situation! Oh my god, the trash. It is overflowing from being the neighbohoods dumping ground, and is NEVER cleaned up. (once my neighbor complained, and the guy in the office said he didnt care because he never goes back there... HUGE HINT PEOPLE)

This place is a huge fair housing violation. They dont complete your work orders... well maybe they will for your neighbor in a month or two or if you call and bother them daily. Heaters and AC are fixed in front of other people while some work orders (even if totally inoperable) are ignored.

The construction is old and shoddy. They "remodeled" them, but it is all cosmetic. There is mold in the walls, under the paint, and it easily chips off to expose you to danger. When things do go wrong our strung out maintenance guy isnt capable of fixing most of them.

The common mail and fountain area has never been dry. but you sign something in your lease stating that they arent liable if you are injured.

Its very noisy. I feel aspecially sorry for those without the dual pained windows. The old manager said that she used to have to wear ear plugs to avoid her snoring neighbor.

The lights in the parking lot are out, and have been for awhile. I dont think that they have ever been cleaned either... the cobwebs are unimaginable.

This place really wasnt that bad with the old management. Things were bad, but tolerable. Things were fixed in reasonable time and the maintenance guy was great. The new management is a nightmare from hell. They are constantly changing hands, and no one knows what they are doing. Belive me... I used to be in the industry.

Oh and lets not forget the laundry. Which also hasnt been cleaned since we moved in. There are about four washer dryers for the entire complex. They are tiny, dont work very well, and the past two managers for the old management admits going to laundromats in Pleasant Hill. Thats how bad the situation is. When my roommate uses them infrequently, we often have problems with people moving our laundry before the cycle is through. We watch it carefully, other wise we would probably have theft problems as well.

So as a recap, dont live here. Even with a new management company, the owner is HORRIBLE. The management cant do much whent he owner wont repair plumbing, the heaters or air conditioning, when he wont pay for a porter to clean up the property, or the leaking fountains that create a hazard and mold problem. This place is nasty, and its really sad because it has a lot of potential.

Unless you get free rent and can afford to pay an outside vendor to do your work orders, and want to clean up the surrounding areas of your own apartment and parking space, dont mind cleaning up the whole complexes trash, dont mind about the old crappy plumbing and lack of hot water, and never use your air conditioning or heater (this is Walnut Creek, you will)under no cirumstances DO NOT LIVE HERE... RUN!!!!!!!

We will be as soon as our lease is up. We are going to start preparing emotionally for the crap we are going to have to go through because we can project how bad its gonna be.
