I lived in Park Regency back in 1997 to 1998 - about 12 months. I had a roommate and we lived on the 3rd floor. Back then it was a great place! Nice inside, looked new. The pools were well kept, all the jacuzzi's worked (for the most part), the fitness room was in okay condition, although I rarely remember people using it. I actually met some pretty cool young professionals at the pool, and around the complex.

Didn't have too many maintenance issues. We also had 2 parking spots. Management was pretty crappy, but I was hooking up with 2 of the girls that worked there so I didn't have to deal with all the BS. Overall it was really just a bunch of professionals commuting on BART. It was loud like you would expect. Walls are thin as paper. Most people I remember being pretty nice. Made some good friends there.

That all started to change before we moved out. I was told by someone that worked there that they had to increase their Section 8 quota. Suddenly within a matter of 2 months, it got shady. Groups of east Europeans started hanging out everywhere and smoking the place up (cigs). Crime went up, the place went downhill pretty fast. Started turning ghetto too. I think that was the final straw. I don't think we got our deposit back but towards the end of our lease i didnt care, I was just ready to get out.

Sounds like its only gotten worse. I had to stop by there recently and it looks like a craphole.

My advice, finish school, get a good job, and get out!

They got worse since 1998 :-( now it is 2007!!! Only worse.
