lived from 08/2004 to 04/2007 and moving out due to work relocation, will definitely consider if moving back to the area
good:
- nice apartments
- clean and well maintained grounds
- walking distance to bart station
- nice and safe neighborhood
- never had problems with theft
- only place with gas range in the area that i could find
- minimal noise from neighbors
bad:
- maintenance equipment noise every week
- very limited guest parking spaces
- managers feel sometimes arrogant
- occasional drive-by music
- only three laundry machines per building (you can get your own for a fee)
- loud air conditioning system (depends on your apartment)
other:
- heard of a car theft incident only once
- got my laundry removed from the dryer by an unknown/impatient tenant (less than 3 minutes after the drying cycle completed)
- a car accident inside the complex caused my building to be without water for an entire day. tenants were notified. extended-hours access to the gym's restrooms/showers were provided. problem fixed by the following morning.
- apartment checks twice a year (smoke detector/air conditioning filters/leaks). notifications given in advance but they will enter even if you're not present.
