Some problems - avoid Building A

If you decide to rent here, it is not the worst place, but here's what you need to know: DO NOT RENT IN BUILDING A. If you do, you can expect several weeks out of the summer completely without AC. According to management, it only happens in this building and apparently the parts needed to fix it must travel the world before getting here, usually during a heat spell. When it goes down, and it will, expect to be without AC for several days to a week EACH TIME! The other problem is getting management to TURN ON the AC to begin with. We suffer weeks in May when the temps are over 85 and it's "too early" for the AC. Also, although it's nice being on the 3rd floor (no one above you), expect much hotter apartments because you're getting the sun beating down on the roof all day long.
The people: We never had many problems before, but management recently seems to be more accepting of ghetto type people who blast rap music off their balconies in the hopes of reforming others to like that crap. They also like to hang all their clothes across a line on their balconies because it's too costly to use their washers and dryers ($1.75 per wash / $1.50 per dryer). I believe these people are barely scraping by, but they apparently pass the credit score requirement. Regarding the previous comment about the Russians - they're here alright, but we've never had any problems with them. They do take up space at the pool every single day and don't appear to have real jobs, so the thought about the Russian Mafia is one we've certainly had and is probably right on.
We have not experienced any crime here, but have heard recently from the police that Creekside Drive keeps them very busy.
The good: Price is right. Management is nice enough. The maintenance people do respond quickly when you need them to. Pool is big and kept very clean.
Just don't move into Building A or you will be very sorry, unless you only plan on living here during the cool time of year.
