The place is a decent size, clean pretty quiet because I have quiet neighbors, but
the walls are thin. It kind of reminds me of Miami and I thought it was cute in a retro. It's pretty safe and I think it is in a convenient location which as a female is important to me. Walking distance from 7/11, a belly dancing studio, a deli, clothing store, 2 or 3 nail salons, and an art store. Poor insulations but PG&E is so cheap it doesn't matter if the heater or AC is blasting. The past month I've had my AC on a lot and my bill was only $68. No pest problem, so scary or shady people living here, there are a good amount of families living here. Easy access to 24 and 680 so I get to SF without traffic in 30 mins and Berkeley within 15 mins. The new manager is very responsive and calls you the same day and gets things fixed with in the week and if it isn't possible she updates you on the status of the issue and fixes it as soon a possible.

The only thing I wish for is more street lights in the area, but that is not the buildings fault.

I came here after college and lived in NYC for 18 years. I think it is good bang for your buck. Totally worth it if your plan is to live somewhere cheap for some time to save up money for a house.

OOOHHHH! The plus I love is that this was one of the few places I found that lets me paint the walls and put up stuff to decorate.
