I moved here with my wife right before our son was born. Since the new property management company took over things have gone to hell.

1st they decided to paint the building a color scheme that is overwhelmingly disliked by most residents.

Then thanks to the new color scheme and promises of even more "improvements" we were given huge rent increases (I am at about 350 more now in the year since they took over).

My wife and I bought a new car in october 2005 and started parking it in our assigned space, but about a week later they towed it away, and refused to pay the fee to get it out, so they cost me a $150 dollars and not even a "were sorry".

The previous management company had dozens of closed circuit video cameras placed all over the grounds, and had them monitored during the day by the office staff, and recorded at night while a pleasant security guard patrolled and made small talk. The new management removed all the cameras and hired a stiff security guard with a gun and said it was because they thought the cameras gave it the appearance of a dangerous place.

Little do they know that some guy with a gun who stands in one spot most of the night is of little consolation.

There are roaches, lots of roaches, my wife and I have spent nearly a thousand dollars trying to combat the situation ourselves because the office refuses to do much of anything about it. I could give you the step by step of all the things we do to keep the place clean daily and all the poisons that are floating around here poisening my family, but please just understand that I am a clean/germ freak and have never had a problem with roaches anywhere else that I have lived.

Many of the apartments have recently been "remodeled" I call it more of a refacing since a change of paint/ new countertops and paint are not the same as
really fixing the problems like uneven floors where the foundation has shifted.

The tilt in my kitchen makes me feel like I have a bum leg sometimes. When I am using my griddle to cook bacon for my family all the grease flows to the front, the back gets dry and burns and the front is a deep puddle.

The amount of time they have painted without considering that they suck at painting has made it so that if a cabinet hasnt been opened in a day or so a chunk of paint will peel off and stick to the other side of the frame.

Peoples cars get broken into about once a month, not bad really, but it didnt happen at all till they took the cameras out.

We have been offered one of the newely "remodeled" apartments and told it will only cost us another $225 a month for it, but they wont just come in and work on the mess that ours is.

Several months ago my wife and I decided to stay here month to month, and have been harrassed ever since. Now, they wont kick us out, because they have too many vacancies already, and we pay our rent on time, but they are trying to get us to pay the price of the "remodeled" places even though we dont live in one by charging us $275 a couple days ago for trash and water service.

Mind you that, up until our lease ran out those were covered in it, thank god for small blessings since we go without hot water atleast 3 days a month while the "maintenence staff" fiddles with what really needs to be replaced not screwed around with. There is no provision in the lease we signed last stating that if we dont sign a new lease that the rules of it will go out the window, so I am trying to review the law in regards to this and see if I can storm in the office and tell them to go to hell with the wacky fees they come up with.

Whew, I must stop now, not that I am even nearly done listing all the crap they pull, but it is bad, if it werent for job which should be transfering me out of state in the next several months, I would just up and get out of here, but I cant run the chance that as soon as I sign a new lease that we will get the word and have to pay to break it.

Whatever you do, be very careful when dealing with this place, or the other properties they manage, the name of the company is Alliance Property Management Group.
