I am one of the first renters who took a renovated apartment. I was told that the completion of the total renovation of the complex exterior and it's amenities would take 6 months. It is now a year since renting and the place is still in a messy and underconstruction state. Not to mention that the rent is the renovated rate. My apartment after careful inspection was a cut and paste job. Very cheap materials were used. The walls were not refinished, so holes and patching are apparant throughout. The kitchen go new appliances, black ones, that are nice although very hard to keep clean and shiny. The fake granite counter tops are flourmica (sp'). If you accidentaly put something with a sharp edge on it, it's a apparant scratch.
The common hallways were refinsihed, but construction workers have left permanent footprints throughout the walkways and they will have to be redone. Caution tape hangs from the hallways with nobody removing it when done. The new pool area has been uprooted for over a month now and looks like a war zone. The new recreation business center remains gutted and over looks the pool area. The railing are a rusted red and hope they are painted eventually, but that could at this rate take serveral more weeks.
Promises were made to get the place together in a short amount of time. The management keeps handing out execuses for the delays, but still demant prices that are for the much better properties in the area.
