While living there I thought that it was a great community. Maintenance always responded quickly, the office was friendly and loved the building (despite the loud drunk people on the weekends coming home, hearing the neighbor having loud sex in at all hours of the night, and guys drinking and walking their little dogs at the pool in their speedos). The rent was ridiculous, and when you move out and leave the place in the same condition as you left, the apartment still deducts more than half of the deposit for carpet cleaning, painting, etc (all from the basic wear and tear of living). It is ridiculous how much is charged for rent and how much the cheap Essex Property people try to suck out of the deposit.
