I am currently a tenant at the Crescent in the largest of the 2 bedrooms floor plan units. The building is kept up very nicely, cleaning of the grounds and pool areas and gym happen every morning. The amenities are awesome. Great poolside area with BBQ grills and mini fridges. Fire pit and cabbannas. The gym is pretty good too with the most recent cardio machines and a handful of weights.
The units themselves are adequately sized. They are small per se, but pretty decent living space. The wood floors and stainless steel kitchen appliances are great. and it's nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit, but laundry facilities are also available.
On the down-side, the bedrooms are slightly small, so if you have a large bed, you may need smaller furniture pieces. The closets are medium sized, but for the average person, probably enough to store all your clothes. The walls are not as sound-proof as I would like, you can hear tenenats above if they are walking around in hihg-heels or slamming doors. Depending on the location of the unit, If you are in a central location of the building, the common areas can have echoes from other tnenants on their balconies. If you tend to be a social aparatment, you have to keep in mind to keep quiet after 10 and to stay indoors so as not to upset the neighbors. Tenenats in the building tend to be very quick to call security on noise compalaints even for the slightest conversations taking place on the balconies.
Overall, the building itself is a great place to live. Most of the other tenants are friendly and the averag age in the building seems to be 25-35. Even though it is in the heart of West Hollywood, There is a good mix of straight and --- tenants in the building and everyone is pretty respectful of one another even in the common areas like gym and pool area. The best feature of this building is the pool are. I use it a lot even though I have never actually gone into the pool. But it's a great area for socialiazing with your friends and meeting up with other tenants in the building. I have actually made the most friends in the longest time living in LA at the poolside of The Crescent. It's just a very conducive environment for making friends.
