horrible management - stay away from the Villa Esther

Villa Esther has got to be the worst run apartment building in West Hollywood, mainly because of the crazy on site manager Jane. She totally thinks she owns the building and thinks she knows it all. She will have her head up your butt and be your friend while you are looking at the apartment and after the lease is signed, she does a complete turn around and will ignore you and your requests. The poor maintenance guy is so over worked and while simple things like clogged sinks etc. get taken care of, forget it if an appliance is shot. Jane will do every thing in her power not to replace it because she apparently thinks she's saving the owners/company money. In the meantime, it's like a revolving door with people moving in and out contantly and the due to the unprofessional way it is managed and the red tape you must go through to get things looked at. There is no security guard on duty at night and the manager just tells you to call the sherriffs station if there is any noise or problems. There have been some break in's and a hold up at gun point right inside the parking garage! The apartments are VERY pricey for what you get and have not been upgraded at all. They still reek of the 70's. The policies of the building are very erratic. i.e. They tell you that you can only park YOUR car in your parking spot but they use your spot during the day to let the gardner, painter etc. park there while they get their work done. No guest parking and there is not enough parking spaces for all the residents that they have to rely on other people moving out before you get your space. The lady Lynn who works on the weekend is a Doll and very courteous and I miss the neighborhood but that's it. I'm a little concerned about the plumbing and electrical problems they have had in the past as well.
