im a full time college student at sac state. i moved here from monterey ca. being that its my first time living outside of my parents home, i searched for a clean gated community to ensure my safety.Im rarely at home because i spend the majority of my time at the school. So its hard for me to complain about an apt. Prior to moving into the new unit i discovered black mold on the wall. i told the office and they felt that painting over it was fine. As i had my internet connected i discovered the wiring was not done in my apartment. i would only be able to use a laptop for wireless internet. This was a complete inconvenience, b/c i did not have a lap top at that time. but i had no time to move to another place or unit. again, im extremely busy and are unable to deal with things. i to also, had the ant problem. Like everyone else, it did take a while for someone to come and assist the problem.Honestly at this point i wasn't upset at all. Amanda was extremely helpful and always showed urgency when assisting me. So i appreciated her help. One day, as i was driving through the gate, there was a malfunction and the gate had snapped shut on my vehicle as i was mid way through. I was stuck there until another car came along(which was a minute or so)since i was blocking the drive way i moved my car to allow cars to pass through. the cars behind me had driven off, not one stopped to see if i was okay. Being around 8pm, this was understandable.I myself would be scared to stop. i copied the license plate number of the car just in case a witness was needed. as i explained what had happened to the office i was accused of making it up. the manager spoke to me as if i was beneath her, which was extremely insulting. I had asked for corporates number at that second. I struggled getting it from her. she refused at first but i repeatedly asked for it. Their insurance company contacted me and met with me. they assured me that it would be taken care off. The insurance lady had explained that their would be tests run on the gate to note when the malfunctioning occurred. After a week or so my case was handed to another insurance lady who had refused to pay for the damages. She explained to me that because this was the first time their gate had done this then they are not legally at fault. That this incident has to occur more than twice. This of course made me furious. The stress of finals during my senior year and the damages on my car were over whelming. I was lied to by the first agent about the tests being run and i was accused by the management office of lying. During all this i tried several times to call several people at corporate(over a month span). i only received one call back when i was in class. I also went as far as sending emails. Still no response. After a couple of weeks i received a letter from their insurance company who had reported a false claim. I am now left to deal with my car and legal issues with this apartment complex as well as their insurance company. I was discriminated in a sense. i strongly feel that if i was older they may have treated me with more respect and helped me. I wasn't taken seriously.

Ok I hope you get this reply: I used to live at this complex-there is something seriously wierd and wrong with the company itself. First of all back in June of 2007 a woman rammed her car into that front gate-some older woman going out one morning in front of me: She is the one who broke that gate-and several times afterwards that gate would malfunction. As far as the gate going into the complex I do not know-it seemed to work ok. The manager is a complete SNAKE; along with her assitant Carrie Rose. Also do not bother calling Brandy-but if you need her number at the actual corporate office-Here it is: anyone -who also may have an issue w/ this complex-start calling her: Brandy Monese: 425-709-7206. I had problems with this complex and went to Brandy-in turn they ended up not accepting to extend my lease when it was up-so I moved as I was already looking for a new place. I now live in the best community ever-and complaints are handled and work is done with no problems unlike this wierdo complex. I have had about 3 different old neighbor friends who also moved out and they never go thier deposits back despite having a very clean unit! I also met another woman who rented at the complex on Sacramento Blvd in west sac-she is in a lawsuit over her deposit.
