I've lived here for a year and I've had few complaints. For one, the unassigned parking can be a hassle sometimes. Second, sometimes the water comes out a little brownish when you haven't used the faucet a lot; I told management about it but they where not able to help. I'm guessing it's because they have really old pipes and they don't have the money to fix it. These are the minor complaints I have.

I know how people just love to write a review when they have bad experiences. It is the same reason why all the news headlines are so negative; because people aren't interested when things are going good so obviously you will see a lot of negative reviews. I have talked to a lot of residents here and they love it, there is no place like this in the San Fernando Valley, but it will cost you some dough.

Now for the good points:
* The neighbors are quiet (sometimes I'll hear a baby cry, but that's normal).
* The staff is friendly and nice (except for a little short and chubby man, he has an attitude).
* The common grounds and pathways are always clean.
* Maintenance staff is quick.
* The area feels safe; gated parking, key access to gym, neighbors are friendly.
* There's a heated pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts, basketball court, and an awesome play area for kids (I know because my nephews love it when they come to visit).

One more thing, I do not work for Oakwood! I am moving out but only because I want to save money to buy my own home. Why give my money to Oakwood when I can save and have my dream home in a few years, just by moving to a less expensive place, right'

If you have the money, or if you want to rent for the rest of your life, chose Oakwood; most of you will enjoy living here.
