Yo!

Believe me, you don't want to live here

It looks really beautiful and it is an attractive place to live. You're a valued tenant as long as there's nothing wrong. Heaven forbid your air conditioning should go out because you can put in your maintenance request and nothing happens - you just sweat through the summer days and melt with the night humidity. I've been waiting 4 days for service to restore the air conditioning to my unit and they don't have so much as the courtesy to call and give an ETA. The management is hostile and rude. And I'm not just speaking for myself - my business partner lives here as well and he's about to explode after dealing with the manager. You receive no attention to any service needs (took 2 months to get a leak fixed that had caused the drywall in my unit to peel and fall off the walls). But I've heard that if you're so much as a day late, you'll have a 'quit' notice on your door. In the morning, I'm faxing a strongly worded letter about the service and management to the California regional office of the management company so they know how well their employees are doing.

I put a work order in for my a/c and it was fixed the next morning. Everytime I have gone into the office, they are very kind and try to do the best they can. I see that they are very busy, but all the women in my mom's group who live here love it and wou;dn't leave! Cut them some slack! They are doing the best they can (remember... we just finished a heat wave and they have like 800 apartments to asssit!).

800 apartments with old air conditioning units and only one air conditioning person to fix them all. Yes, let's all cut the management some slack...or maybe not. Someone is too cheap to bring in more help.
