Biggest rental nightmare of my life

I moved here from out of state after visiting and securing an apartment. I had to jump through hoops to get in and pay a high application fee. For some reason I figured this meant the residents would be relatively middle class. Instead people were being evicted left and right with all of their belongings tossed into the dumpster area. The office staff is incredibly obnoxious and sneaky. I was living there over a year when they went through my mail and because I received a bill in a relatives name (which I pay for them) they slapped a 3 day eviction notice on my door saying that I wasn't allowed to other people living with me. They KNEW nobody else lived with me. ONE PIECE OF MAIL came to my apt addressed to someone else and they would have thrown all my stuff on the street. A neighbor called me at work one day to say the staff were in my apartment! They had not given me any prior notice and never apologized. They never fixed anything, always an excuse and they cancelled the security service without notifying the residents. This whole place was an utter nightmare. The trains were the least of my worries as I come from a big city. The noise from kids drinking in the parking lot at all hours smashing glass was far worse. This was a few years ago, but from firends who still live in the area, I have heard it's only gotten worse there. I can't even imagine. Oh yeah, they kept a portion of my deposit because the ceiling fan had dust on ONE blade!!! Never mind that the carpet was circa-1972...
