I have been here just about 5 months and can not believe I rented here! The gate never works, the lights in the parking lot are out and I fear for my life if I'm out after dark.(thank god for the French Quarters for supplying us light!) I won t park under ground in fear of the stairwells. The halls are dirty, stink and I'm sure growing things I don t want to know about. This is NOT THE APARTMENT I WAS SHOWN!!! And check out the FALSE add in the for rent book!!!! The oven must be about 30 years old, cabinets are from 1963 and the fuse blows every time I try to dry my hair! I think its funny other people on this site have the same problems and nothing gets fixed. Maybe we should all get together for a "class action"''' I know a really good real estate attorney and I'm checking into breaking my lease.
As for the office staff, there is little I can say....the leasing agent (Lara) I think is her name is just RUDE. maybe its b/c I'm much thinner then her' The manager hides out in her office (so she doesn t have to look at this filthy pit) otherwise things might get fixed. Riverstone should have replaced each and everyone of them!
I'm really disappointed that this place is the way it is...it COULD be a nice place if someone cared.
Oh and the $150 if you get a friend to rent here is not worth loosing the friend over!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad that we left. The place was a filthy heap and falling apart. People are fleeing in droves. Don't believe me? Check out the number of empty balconies on building 2. Aside from the drug use in our building(which we complained about repeatedly)the office staff is very rude, nothing ever gets fixed, the roof leaks, and the entire back wall of our apartment was moldy. Our apartment stank to high heaven, the stove didn't work, the toilet in the master bathroom was actually sinking into the floor, there was so much mold that the grout in the bathtub hardened and fell out. We were down to one working bathroom - sort of. The sinks were always clogged, the garbage chute was always clogged, people left trash in the hallways, the stairwell, and the common areas. The appliances were old, the refridgerator constantly ran, we had one working burner and no working oven. The place is poorly insulated, and we often paid over TWO HUNDRED dollars a month in utilities. Unsupervised children use the workout room as a jungle gym, so good luck working out. When we left the indoor pool had slimy algae growing on the bottom. The elevator to the basement didn't work so one of our neighbors had to park outside because she was handicapped and couldn't use the stairs. Oh, and when we were moving out, one of the newer maintenence people told us that we couldn't park outside of the building because it was a fire zone and he would call the cops. As we were leaving, he pulled his own truck into the spot we were parked at and proceeded to move his stuff in. I hated every minute I was there and can only describe leaving as bliss. I would say get a lawyer and get the heck out of there.
