I used to live and work here a few years ago. Ut always amazes me the reviews you can read about apartment communities. Security Gates' No, they aren't security gates, they are called PRIVACAY gates. Besides, even secruity gates have sensors in them to not close on a car... that's called a safety feature. Don't blame gates for staying open, blame the people who are either too lazy to get thier card out to open the gate back out, or the people coming to visit friends who think they can just zip right in. When I worked there we didn't have a "secuirty" patrol.. we had a COURTSEY patrol. BIG difference. a courtsey patrol is available by phone to come check out disturbances, but otherwise do a few routine patrols of the property. They aren't they ALL THE TIME! Get real people. If you've lived in the Denver area before, then you know what Aurora in general is like. If you want to avoid distrubances of any kind.. buy a house! Otherwise, get on with your life. Spend a little less time complaining about the little things, and focus on enjoying life. You are never stuck where you are.. if you are unhappy and it's the middle of your lease then transfer to another equity community.. The Savoy is a beautiful property.. as it Copper Canyon. Not to mention the two that are in Cherry Creek. Quit your da*n bi*ching and find a solution. Don't blame everything on others, take some da*n reposibility for your life and make it better instead of bi*ching about things on here.
As for my living expierance... Yes, there were loud people. I asked them to be quiet, it didn't always work, so I called the cops. After the cops came, all was quiet. Unfortunately, that sort of thing isn't limited to Aurora. Don't think that if you move to Highlands Ranch that your not going to get the same thing. Just going to be richer people having arguments and parties.
For the most part I enjoyed both living and working there.

The really funny thing is that people like this chick who says she lived and worked here, are saying quit your whining but that is exactly what this web site is for, to let future residents know about some of the issues. I wonder how often this stupid chick told people the truth about this complex. I lived at the trails for two years and found out a whole bunch of disturbing things that I wish someone would have told me before I signed the lease. Just to let everyone out there know not all of Aurora is as Ghetto as this complex. I am a criminal justice student and work with a lot of Police, after I signed my second lease I found out that there was a triple homicide in the building next to mine a few years back over a drug deal, nice nieghborhood uh, or maybe I should just stop bi*ching right, it doesn't hurt that much to get shot. But wait lets not pretend this was the only shooting at the trails there where two more right outside my window in the short time I lived there. Oh yeah if your such an advocate of the trails, why is that you know longer live there. There has been many managers in the few years I lived there and, not from lack of effort but it didn't get any better it is simply a bad area. And one more thing about that so called "privacy" gate, maybe the residents wouldn't be so pissed off if they hadn't been tricked. That gate is there because it attracts residents they feel safe "knowing" that not just anyone can walk onto the property. That gate isn't there for privacy it is there to give both residents and future resident false sense of security. And miss ex-employee if you did your research you would know that that gate was put up right after the triple homicide so people wouldn't move.Just a side note, every area in Colorado has something called a par officer all you have to do is call the local police department and they can tell you the crime statistics for that area. By law apartment complexes cannot give you this information, if you are thinking of moving to the Trails I strongley suggest calling the Police you might as well get to know them you will be seeing them all the time.

I am Current Resident of this property I have been here three years my iwfe for about a year and half yes we have had sme diffculty with noise but the old and new mangement fixed the problem quickly the maintnance once was slow to respond to work orders now they respond quickly since omni has taken over there have been many improvements to this property, if you didn't know about the shooting you don't read or watch the news omni has a strict policy about letting people with crimnal convictions move in and i have noticed slowly but surly the unsvaory chracters that once frequented the trails are disappearing they are remodleing the whole place changing the name and the attiude of the leasing office whici personally never have had an issue with you can't judge a book by a cover give the trials a chance. you'll like living here.
