First one: of course you would take one sentence out of my letter and try to make an insult out of it. Just for your info - not everyone who goes to happy hour is drinking. They do have happy hour appetizers and ice tea and nice, friendly people who are educated and actually use grammer (yes that is a hint). I've made good friends and great business connections at happy hours. And secondly, prove me wrong on any other point.
Second One: Your comment: ". . I think that it is obsurd that people think it?s the leasing offices fault that peolpe can?t control their children or their music." We agree but the problem is that the people who are not keeping their music down and not controlling their children are infringing upon our rights to a safe and peaceful environment. Confronting them can get you hurt and the police say not to do that. It is the office's responsibility to control the behavior of these people if they are disturbing the peace of the other tenants.
As for your other comment regarding the big city and the information in the lease. Of course we know that information is in the lease. That is a standard lease and not the point. The point is that in the interest of good will, Hickory Ridge could have looked into some kind of insurance coverage or something for these poor people whose cars were damaged. Instead they were treated with disdain and instant defensiveness.
Oh and the last thing. Your comment that your husband's friend is an Aurora officer, I am DATING an Aurora police officer and your information is completely wrong. There have been multiple car break-ins, several apartment break-ins, a rape and numerous assaults and domestic violence complaints have been taken in the last four years. And by the way - the Aurora Police still call it Felony Ridge. Bring that name up in a casual conversation with an Aurora cop and watch the look on their faces.
Good luck at this complex. I'm glad I moved.
