Only as a last resort would I recommend this.

I'd also only recommend it if you have plenty of tolerance for domestic disputes, drunken brawls, loud stereos, people yelling and poorly insulated walls. Think "Boulder Frat House".
In the winter it's drafty due to aging entry ways and sliding glass doors. The fireplace helps a lot with the cold, but when the heat hits you're stuck with trying to stick a fan in front of an old yellowed AC unit. That's often useless on the real hot days unless you leave it on high while at work.
On a more positive note, the rent is very cheap and you're unlikely to find more for the money. The deck/patio is a decent size as are the apartments. You also never run out of hot water.
It's kind of a "Last Resort" place. If you're in a bind, this is perfect. Otherwise, stay away.
