Not as Good as it Used to Be

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2007
With the exception of the a/c which is nothing but a joke, I really liked my apartment when I moved in. There was a lot of space in the apartment, good storage, maintenance was polite and fairly responsive, and attention was paid to the grounds. But as the years went by, the rent climbed @ $100 each year for a 2-2 unit. No improvements were made, in fact amenities were withdrawn and requirements (add'l insurance required, you had to hire a locksmith if you locked yourself out, fewer office hours)increased along with the cost of rent. What really led to my leaving the complex was the increase in burglary, vandalism, and the almost constant presence of the police in the complex responding to such issues and to domestic disturbances. I felt safe in the beginning. I did not in the last year or two. When a vandal threw a rock through my living room window and no one saw fit to replace it for almost a week, it became time to move on. Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7
