Highline House

This place is awful! After 5 years renting here, and basically doing routine maintenance (leaky faucets and such) myself, our refrigerator stopped working. It took management/maintenance TEN days to get us a new one. We lost most of our food, and what was saved was only because we kept it in an ice chest. THEN the drain plug on our bathtub broke, maintenance did come (after 3 days of bailing the water from our tub after showering) and left us with the overflow drain covered with a baggy and duct tape (did this ourselves) for more than 2 weeks. THEN our disposal broke, water poured freely into the cupboard below the sink any time we used it. Since the onsite manager (who is actually quite decent) was out of town, we called the management company to report it and he stated that he'd call maintenance right away. After a week and no response, the onsite manager was back and we reported the problem to him. After about 2-3 days we finally recieved the repair needed. Our licence plates have been stolen from both of our vehicles, and it has been attempted at other times. Just this week there was a guy in the parking lot at 4 AM, breaking into a vehicle to get their speakers. We called police, and the guy ran off. In general the apartments are ran down, in poor repair, and not soundproofed at all, as well as being overpriced for size and quality. Over the years most of the onsite managers have been a joke, and there was even a problem with one coming in and stealing from tenants. The current onsight management is good, responsive to problems (although some things are out of their hands) and do get out daily to clean up trash in the parking lot and grounds.
