My Fiancee and I have lived at Kennedy Ridge for almost 2 years now, and it is time to get out of here.

The first year (May of 2003) was almost bearable. Many of the comments here about the office staff being snobby, rude and arrogant are quite true. The paper for things wrong with the apartment that your supposed to fill out when you first move in, by the time I had finished, it was two pages. When I brought it over to the leasing office, their rep said "What do you expect, it was built in the 70's" Evidently the complex was built in 3 stages, and when we moved in they placed us in the oldest one, but they showed us the newest ones on the tour. Bait and Switch'

I'd like a porch that doesn't have rotting supports so that when you go out on it, it doesn't bend down 3 inches, nails that don't stick up in the boards, and paint that isn't half peeled off. The kitchen drawers are so cracked and beat up that they are held together by only one side and glue. I was told that they have to break completely before they fix them. Nails coming up from the carpets, holes in the screens, and numerous other problems were given the brush off as well. Fixing things/general maintenence is half the reason why rent is paid, so why can't they do it'

Maintenence takes three tries to fix anything. I still have unpainted plaster over my shower (the upstairs bathroom was leaking) I called at least 5-6 times trying to get them to finish up that job and have finally given up. The front doors on the building itself (At least my building) has been broken many many times. At one point, I had to threaten to put rent into eskrow to get them to fix it.

The second year, they REALLY went downhill, my apt is right next to the office, it was broken into in broad daylight, while we were at work. Of course, no one in the office saw anything. Two of our neighbors car tires were slashed in early fall. In December, while fixing an unrelated flat for a neighbor, were were approached by a couple on their way to the workout room, and were asked if vandals had done it (caused the flat) we replied not this time. They then told us that in Nov, in one of the front lots, someone had slashed about 10 peoples tires. In the last six months the hubcaps of my Fiancee's car have been stolen 3 times! Come on people their $20 dollar hubcaps. My car seems to get the air let out of a random tire or two once every 4-5 months. And don't tell me it's a slow leak in the tire, cause I had repair shop check the tires, when they reinflated them, and they always told me they were fine. Plus, they are fully inflated until the next time, when they "suddenly" deflate over night.

I believe that their standard for letting people move in are that you have a pulse. I'm starting to see lots of shady stuff going down in the parking lots. I'd be willing to put money on the fact that 50% of the people living there are illegal aliens or have warrants out for them. Seeing police in the parking lots is a regular occurance. in response to an earlier review and before anyone gets upset about my "racism" my fiancee is an immigrant, and we have had to pay a lot of money, and jump through hurdles for her to stay legally. She is honest and very hard working, and just wants a better life. I'm sure that a small percentage of immigrants living here are legal, and working/hoping for a better life (our neighbors across the hall for instance).

When we move out, I fully expect to get screwed out of our Security Deposit for damage that we didn't cause. We haven't broken a single thing, not even the drawers that are threatening to break off every time you open them.

I am fairly certain any any positive review about this place was written by mangement. I can't imagine anyone, saying that it's a great place to live or that the Office Staff is "nice". The only nice thing about is it's location, it's fairly close (20 minute drive) to just about anywhere you want to go. (except the mountains). Cherry Creek State Park is right behind it, and a decent golf course is right next door. Err and perhaps another nice thing, is that I haven't seen any physical violence there yet.

In finishing, I apologise for any mis-spellings run on sentences and other grammatical errors in this hastily typed review. I'm just so fed up with this sh*thole place... Yesterday the hubcaps were stolen from her car (3rd time) in broad daylight while parked right outside the office. If I thought I had any legal recourse against them, I'd take it. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai

It is sooo funny when people get on this website and say that where they live is just the worst place in the world, but yet they continue to stay!!! If you don't like it DON'T RENEW YOUR LEASE!!! MOVE!!! 2 years isn't enough huh??? And next time, do your homework and make an educated decision about where you want to live. By the way, what do you pay for rent? I bet it's less than $500 a month. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
