So I'm walking in the parking lot late at night, and some hispanic punk in a ski mask pulls up to me in his POS car and points a gun at me, engine running, and demands my money. I said I didn't have any, and he responded by pointing the laser pointer for marksmanship on my face. I got down on the ground, and he eventually drove off. He then robbed some other poor sap in the building next to mine. When I told management this, the Head Manager, Georgia McElwain said she would honor the 30 day out clause in the lease. Guess what. She has to honor that whether I was held up or not. She said they wouldn't even consider a gate around the complex. God forbid they show concern for the safety of their residents. I should sue their ass for negligence. What upset me more was she continued to paint herself as a victim, saying her car was broken into just that week, and that "crime can happen anywhere". Nice job, Georgia! Are you STUPID''' THERE WAS A GUN IN MY FACE. I can't believe I literally have to SPELL THAT OUT FOR YOU HERE.
I've lived in the Bronx AND Los Angeles, both crappy neighborhoods. NEVER have I been held up until I lived at KENNEDY RIDGE APARTMENTS.
By the way, during the blizzards this past winter, garbage wasn't collected for OVER A MONTH. There's garbage on the property that surrounds them and acts as a buffer between the adjacent golf course. I serious. There are old chairs and couches just sitting in the woods. It's pathetic.
To top it off, I got the hispanic family with the loud-ass kids and even louder-ass drunk dad.
I do wish I had one more thing to ----- about. Fortunately I do...
There was a leak in the ceiling after a rain storm. It appears to originate from a half-ass patch-up job they did on the ceiling after a hole 2ftX3ft appeared.
All in all, if you like living in a piece of crap apartment complex, then THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!

I have lived here 4 years, hope to move soon, but have not felt unsafe. It's going downhill, but overall my building has a lot of hardworking families and are quiet at night. I am more aware of my surroundings early am or later at night.

I've been living here four years as well, and I am now moving out because it is unsafe. After my g/f's car was broken into, the suspects saw her make the police report, and then stuck a gun in her face to threaten her. I didnt know this 'til after the fact, but this was the middle of the day... I dont find that safe.
