I've lived in this place for a while and been ripped off. It used to be somewhat peaceful, but now I have the gang bangers all around my building that take there guns over to the golf course at night and start firing them off. My car was broken into and the Denver police strongly discouraged me from requesting a squad car because they deal with so many break in's and make so many trips in there and they said that Kennedy "felony" Ridge is notorious for car theft, breaking and entering and domestic violence. The glass from my car trickled right to the door of who I think did it, and the police refused to do anything about it. When I gave my thirty day notice, they said that my $700 deposit was only going to pay for damaged blinds, and they are trying to charge me for the wall in the bathroom that collapsed due to a leaking pipe in the wall that cause serious mold problems (the weight of the mold collapsed the wall). They purposely let my lease run out and jacked up my rent $200 the first month, and then $10 each additional month, and $50 a month because I refused to sign a new lease. Now I have to go get a lawyer so they dont charge me thousands of dollars to move out. They told me that the rug is to last 7 yrs, and since I'd only been there 4 years, anything beyond spotless was 'unusual wear and tear', and they will charge me to replace it. Dog hair in the rug was 'excessive' and not covered by the deposit (after having her two years). Dont trust the maintenance people either. They go through your closets, they take what they like from your movies and cd's, and they leave your place a mess. Hell, half the time they are just sitting in the parking lot smokin' pot. I would strongly discourage anyone from putting up with the BS that this place will dish you. They have specials alright... the kind without vasiline. When I was packing and leaving, the helicopter started to circle over head, and 5 police cars race in, all the cops carrying there shot guns and posted against the wall. it was a crack house raid. about two years ago, someone I worked with had there apartment go up in flames because the crack dealers on the third floor forgot to shut off the hot place and it toasted everything. Needless to say, those occupants didnt even come back for there stuff.
