Welcome to the ghetto!

In all fairness, it's been 5 years ago that I lived here and things may have changed drastically. I don't even live in Colorado any more. But anyway, I broke my lease at this place about 4 months in because I did not feel safe here. Moved into this place site unseen because we were in a time crunch moving from Alabama. Bad idea!!! Hey, they told me they were giving me their display model...

Police cruisers were constantly in the area. I called the police once because I heard crashing noises from upstairs. The police came to my door and told me to call them anytime I felt something suspicious was happening because a gang was apparently operating out of the apartments above me. Great! My newspaper was stolen almost every morning unless I greeted the delivery guy at the door at 4am myself. When a lady was raped getting in her car on the way to work one morning, I decided that was the last straw. If something would have happened to my wife, I could not have lived with myself. I broke the lease and paid whatever they wanted to get the Hell out of there.

To top it all off, the office staff changed weekly it seemed and were consistently rude. Don't live here unless you just can't afford to do better. At the time I lived there because I thought I'd save some dough. It was not worth it. Very bad experience.
