Police Believe Body Came From Shooting At Nearby Apartment Complex
AURORA, Colo. -- Police have opened an investigation into a deadly shooting after a body was found inside a car sitting in a Wendy's parking lot Thursday morning.
An employee of the fast food restaurant, located along Parker Road near East Dartmouth Avenue, called police at about 2 a.m. saying that there was man slumped over in the passenger seat.
Investigators arrived and traced the victim to a shooting that may have occurred at the One Dartmouth Place apartments, around the corner. Police said that another man was hurt and was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Police said the victims are two black men in their early 20s.
Denver and Aurora police are both investigating the incident. Officers interviewed all employees of the restaurant and still don't know the motive for the shooting.
