I lived in ridge hill for over 3 years.i dont like to move and that was the only reason i stayed.management is unwilling to even be nice. several times i was lied to about reciving a good rent rate.you would think that living there as long as i did i would recive the best rent rate possable...wrong! i found out from talking to a neighbor [and confronting management]that i was being charged more[over 100.00] than others that were just moving in.I had signed a new lease that hadent come into effect yet when i discovered i had to relocate due to my job[out of state] i had tried to talk to the manager,and even had my boss try to talk to her[no one at work would belive my side of the story untill my boss contacted her..they thought i was making up a story]but i wasent...they wouldent let me out of my lease...!!! it hadent even started yet! to get out of it i was charged one extra months rent,and they refused to give back my security deposit.
One of my friends that lived there was able to work a deal with one of the leaseing agents....he slept with her once a week and he got free underground parking for his car![funny thing, his car still was broken into several times...the underground parking gives more cover for the kids to smash windows,grab steros ect.]
Several times i caught several of the maint. men smoking weed on the job! I even had one move into an apt below mine and he had a second job,selling drugs!His name is Dan and he is still working there!he once bragged to me about selling a pound of weed in one day! management was surley and difficult to approach.The condition of the apts is run down.siding that is falling off ..gutters that fell off were picked up, leaned against the building and left there unrepaired for 7 months!!! i am not kidding! there is a problem with squirrls that have chewed acess into the roofs and live in the attic spaces.you can hear them running around all day and early mornings.there is also a severe problem with pigons.the management responce was to give the birds drugged corn to help them forget where they lived'..huh' i didnt stop them.residence covered in bird poop several inches deep and they refused to clean it up.i put up chicken wire to keep them off my porch and managment wouldent allow the 'eyesore' to remain...in a recession,with every other apt. complex in the denver area GIVVING away free rent,and even vacations for people to move in,Ridge hill INCREASED thier rent2 times in less than 6 months!!! looking back at it, i dont know why i put up with it for as long as i did...please avoid this place and save yourself the troubles! oh yeah, i had my water heater replaced in my apt. and the guy[Dan again] bent the flexable copper so much that the water was restricted both going into and coming out of the water heater.i tried to tell him he messed it up and why, he told me i didnt know what i was talking about!...i am a plumber ! also,i lived in a two bedroom for the first year and it was a hot summer...i kept trying to tell the mant. people that the a/c needed service...they refused to look at it several times...after my 3rd complaint,they took a set of guages and checked the pressure in the system...they said it was ok...i asked why my apt was so bloody hot all the time then...they told me it was the same size a/c unit as used in the 1 bedroom unit and that it didnt even keep those cool in the summer! later when i moved into a one bedroom apt, i found out they were serious! i tend to put things that bother me out of my mind so i dont dwell on them...but while writing this review,i came to realize the amount of crap that i was put through! ...it is amazing! and all true!
