Ridge Hill seemed attractive to us because of the lower price and washer/dryer hookups. We moved from out of state so didn't know the area well and we really regret having moved here. The stairs are right next to the bedroom window so every time your neighbors think it's cool to come home drunk at 2 am shouting and smoking you'll get waken up by the noise and smell. Maintenance is slow as we had a leak in our storage area that did not get fixed for a month despite our calls asking when they'd come. This mean that all of our boxes cluttered up our living room--for a month! Parking is bad in some areas, ok in others. In our case three or more buildings (so 36 apartments!) shared about 15 close spots. The management is usually rude except for the man working there. You can hear the neighbors just talking (not shouting) and it will keep you awake unless you have some kind of radio to drown the noise out. The area is bad--you don't feel safe walking with your family at night since the area seems to be a semi-ghetto of gangsters. The neighbors all seem to listen to gangster rap really loud without respect to the fact that others live around them. Move here if you want a heart attack from the stress of always hearing someone else's noise! Your heating bill will be atrocious as the patio door is not sealed well and the fireplace does not close completely. Even with florescent lights we pay over a hundred to heat our apartment. We definitely do not think of this place as "home" and we're excited to move out as soon as we can.
