This was the first place I lived when I moved to the Denver Metro area, as I was then working at the Aurora Mall, which is directly southwest/kitty corner from the complex. If you are one for a sunny apartment, this isn't it, as you get one window in the living room and one in the bedroom. The one bedroom apartments are a decent size and the bedroom is the largest I've seen for an apartment in this price range. At the time I was there, updates hadn't been made for some time as i had brown sculptured carpet and avocado green appliances, but the appliances worked well. I would suggest living in an upper level unit as you can definitely hear the people above you simply walking around. The onsite facilities are nice, as there is a decently equipped gym, hot tub, pool, and there are walking/biking trails right next to the complex. Also, there is a nice pond you can walk around and sit and watch the ducks and geese in front of the court house behind the complex. I was surprised to find it to be rather family oriented as many people seemed to be in a transition state, not many long-term tenants. Driving to Denver isn't difficult, but it always seemed like a long haul to get into downtown. It is in the heart of Aurora, which may or may not be appealing to you. As far as rent, it's about average price. I didn't have a huge deposit (I think it was $100), but if you're coming in, definitely do a contract, as month-to-month (which I did for four months) went up every month by $25 (price below is old, but was my amount during contract, not month-to-month which ended at $525). As I said, it's not a bad place to start, but if you're looking to settle and want Denver convenience, you might want to consider elsewhere.
