That is certainly what it feels like. I am trapped in my lease with no way out. I have only lived here for about 5 months and I have had problems with just about everything. No one ever comes to fix things (appliances, a/c, doors, etc.) It is very much the responsibility of the apartment management to take care of maintenance issues, but I have yet to get anything fixed. The people who live above me are also an issue, I complain every month when I turn in my rent but nothing ever happens. They have small children up at all hours of the night and large crashes from above shake pictures on my walls and knock things off of shelves. Often this continues until around 1 a.m. Many times I have taken my baby and gone to stay with my parents in order to get a few hours of sleep. Why should I pay rent at a place where I have to leave for the night because of the conditions' Management keeps collecting payments but does nothing to deserve my rent. I didn't move in so that I could deal with no hot water, no air conditioning, and no sleep. I've got 7 months and 2 days until I can move out. A word of warning to anyone looking for a place: RUN...do not be fooled and do not get sucked in because you can't get out.

I agree 100% with the above. I too have had issues with neighbors that I was assured "would be dealt with". Thankfully my lease is up in a couple of months! Hang in there
