Have lived here since October of 2007.
My wife and I jokingly refer to the complex as Ghettofield apartments.
Here is what we deal with:
We, like the other resident live towards the back of the complex. We deal with trash areas poorly cleaned and maintained, broken glass, old raggedy furniture sitting around the trash areas. The mailbox area and 2nd swimming pool are a local youth hangout. Gang graffitti is painted all over, broken mailboxes, and just an overall "ghetto" ambiance. In our building, most of the residents leave trash, and other wonderful things like milk cartons, dirty diapers, broken glass and God knows what else in the hallways next to their doors.
During winter months, this part of the complex is the last to be shoveled or graveled. My neighbor fell and broke her wrist last winter.
We deal with loud music almost every weekend. We have called the police 3 times in the last month to report the music being played at 2AM.
This was reported to mgmt several times with no response.
Parking is an issue. You are not assigned a parking spot unless you pay for it.
Even then, you will begin to wonder why you bother to pay, because the non paying residents use the paid parking, too with no consequences. I have had to leave notes on several cars that have parked in our space. This too has been reported to mgmt with no results. They did come out once or twice and put a sticker on the offender's vehicles threatening to tow, but they never towed them and now they back to using the paid spots.
Maintenance is a definite issue. It takes several calls and move out threats to
get something fixed. This is not some simple issue, the repairs that we had
reported were the toilet leaking all over the bathroom floor, hot water heater (had to wait a week for that). We had to stay with family just to be able to take a hot shower. After threatening to move out, we finally got a new hot water heater.
Management seems to just not care. You call them, they say they will take care of it right away. Then, nobody shows up and you have to call again!!
To summarize, I certainly agree with the last few ratings. Don't rent here, there are alot of complexes that charge about the same and take care of their properties that actually seem to care about their residents, these folks don't. They put on a great facade when you are a prospective resident, but that changes quickly.
Office staff is nice, but seem unsympathetic when it comes to getting things done.
I wonder if there is a Property or Maintenance Manager, and if there is, do they ever tour the back end of the property''''
Our lease ends soon, and we will most definitely not renew.
